Blessed and Multiplied

by Pastor Sal Termini

Blessed and Multiplied.

Genesis 1:27-28 (KJV)
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. [28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

The Bible says in Genesis that God blessed Adam and Eve then told them to be fruitful and multiply. Psalm 1:3 tells us whatever you do will prosper. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me was apostle Paul’s great admonition to the church. The church must realize God has already blessed us. He has already commanded the blessings to come upon us. We now must act on this because it is a fact. Faith is acting upon God's word because we believe it. God is telling us as the church His blessings are upon us right now. We can now go and do what God has called us to do and we will be fruitful and multiply. We have received the blessing God is waiting on us to work out the miracle of provision by our actions.

One of the greatest blessings in the world is that God said He is with us. We work and God blesses it. We labor and God causes our increase. God gave us all gifts and talents to be used for His glory. As we exercise our gifts God’s blessing is upon us to succeed. Like Israel we have the covenant blessings of Abraham upon us.

When blessing evade us it is either sin hindering us, unbelief is robbing us, or Satan is blocking our blessing. Provision is the will of God. We were created to be dependent upon Him to look to Him and His generosity as our source. God is our Father and provider. It would be criminal if He called us to look to Him then failed to provide for us. Jesus told us do not be like the gentiles.

Matthew 6:31-32 (KJV)
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? [32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things.

We must not ever receive that God’s provision is lacking. Apostle Paul gives us this great scripture to quicken our faith for provision.

Romans 8:32 (KJV)
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Apostle Paul is calling the church to a revelation of the abundance of God’s provision towards the church. God has unlimited power to bless. There is no lack in heaven or in the mind of God to bless us. It is religion that preaches lack. God blessed them and they were fruitful and they were multiplied.

Philip. 4:19 (KJV)
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Establish your covenant with God by making Jesus Lord of your life. Call upon Him as Lord right now. The greatest provision we ever needed was for forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life and God has provided that for us in Christ.
