THE QUIET HEROES

Quite some time ago Pastor Sal taught on the quiet heroes in our congregation and in the church worldwide. He mentioned those people who serve quietly and without recognition.

It was a powerful and encouraging sermon. Over the coming months I would like to speak to some of you quiet heroes and dedicate an issue to what God has done for you in particular, and to acknowledge you as the blessing you are in our church.

I’ll be asking you what God has done for you in the past. I’d like you to share a testimony or two and tell me how you got saved.

Please don’t be shy about this or feel you shouldn’t have an issue dedicated to you. The Newsletter is all about lifting up the power and might of God and how he can change and influence a life.

We don’t know whose life might be changed by your story.

REV 12: 11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death

PASTOR’S NOTES

Gen 18 :1 One day Abraham was sitting at the entrance to his tent during the hottest part of the day. 2 He looked up and noticed three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he ran to meet them and welcomed them, bowing low to the ground.3 “My lord,” he said, “if it pleases you, stop here for a while. 4 Rest in the shade of this tree while water is brought to wash your feet. 5 And since you’ve honored your servant with this visit, let me prepare some food to refresh you before you continue on your journey.”

The rest of the story shows Abraham's great hospitality. The summer is a great time to win our neighbors to Christ through hospitality. Cell groups should have events such as a picnics to invite neighbors to discuss the word of God and answer their questions. This fall we have several events planned, and we'll be asking you to invite someone.
